The Kim Kardashian sex tape, "KIMKSUPERSTAR" filmed with her boyfriend Ray J in 2003 has been lighting up the net. The porn company that has released it has sold over 1 million copies, quite a feat for a sex tape.

Kim Kardashian, Paris Hilton’s best friend, said she wasn’t selling the sex tape she made several years ago with Brandy’s younger brother, Ray J, because, “I don’t need the money.” But someone else did.

On Tuesday, porn purveyor Vivid Video bought the tape, which had been floating on the porn market for about a month, for $1 million from an unidentified source. The company plans to have a DVD titled “Kim Kardashian Superstar” in stores by Feb. 28, with additional footage on kimksuperstar.com.

Vivid co-chairman Steven Hirsch said, “We are comfortable that we have the legal right to distribute this video . . . I’ve seen the video and it’s really great. It has over 60 minutes of explicit sex that fans of erotica will find very appealing . . . Apparently, the video was shot by Ray J about three years ago when he and Kim were in a relationship. Viewers will definitely get their money's worth."

A rep for Kardashian said, “Are you [bleep]ing me? Kim is going to die . . . are you sure?” Later, he added, “She will be taking legal action against anyone responsible for this. She was unaware of this and caught completely off-guard.” Ray J could not be reached. Paris Hilton's sex tape used to be the number one download on the internet, but Kim Kardashian’s tape has overtaken it by nearly 3x the monthly searches, according to industry figures. You can see why, too, because "KIMKSUPERSTAR, PART II" definitely takes it up a notch. While the Paris Hilton tape is blurry night-vision filmed from a football field away while Kim Kardashian’s tape was shot with a good cam…

Where can I watch it for free?

This is pretty much the only question I get so I’m just going to answer it quickly. A lot of people (if you’re outside the US or Europe) can’t get access to the streaming version it seems that I’ve linked to. Well to answer the question, no, not really. Some sites will ask you to download a "codec," a computer program that will supposedly play the video for you, which is now a well-known method to install a virus on PCs. Sounds fun. The clips you can see floating around are 1-2 minute promo clips from the Vivid site which are pretty tame…
